I took the Subway and then a bus to Corleas Hook Park where there is a ferry landing. Riding the bus through part of the east side of New York City one was very much aware of the poverty of the area and witnessed many old people, clearly with many chronic ailments, getting on and off the bus, some going to medical appointments. I felt great sympathy for them knowing the extraordinary cost that some would be incurring in the US “Medical Care Industry.” It was the second spectacular day of weather as we cris crossed the harbour including going under the Brooklyn bridge on the way to the Brooklyn Cruise ship terminal.
