One World Observatory

This was day four of my visit to New York City. At last the weather has changed. At 0800 it was 13C with a forecast for 26C.

It seemed a great day to ascend the replacement tower that was built after 9/11.

In about one minute one is whisked up to the 102nd floor. The experienced is enhanced by state of the art video images as one ascends and when one first reaches the 102 floor.  You then descend to the 100 floor and can walk around the 360 degree observation deck. The views were stunning. I noticed that there was a cruise ship at the Brooklyn terminal but the Queen Mary II which I embark on to-morrow had not yet arrived.

Great views of New Jersey where I could see the RV park that we stayed in more than ten years ago.

With the great weather also fascinating to see the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island Park and also the Brooklyn bridge from a great height.
