My cousin Jo Coney lives in Oxford. She is the same age as me. She was one of the first women priests to be ordained in England. She is a member of the third order of St Francis.
It was a one hour train ride to Oxford where Jo met me and we had two days together talking about many subjects in common including adapting to some of the aging issues that we both have experienced. We went out to dinner at a local pub.
She was once at a meeting with Archbishop Welby and had a picture taken.
We went to a morning Eucharist together. They have a very accomplished group of bell ringers (Campanologists). They rang several changes. My mother had been a bell ringer in a church in Canterbury.
