One of the must see places in New York City is the Metropolitan Museum of art. I visited on my first day and spent nearly three hours there which is about as much as one can take in in a museum in one day. For me this type of museum illustrates the role that art has played in the developments of societies and empires. I enjoyed the English section where there was even a special display of tea pots collected over the years. In the musical section there was displayed some fascinating musical instruments that have been played for centuries. Here are a few pictures.
